RAS AL KHAIMAH: As most residents head indoors to escape the summer heat, Visit Jebel Jais flips the script with PEAK HEAT – the UAE’s first outdoor hot fitness experience, taking place at 1,934 metres above sea level on the country’s tallest peak.

Developed by Visit Jebel Jais in partnership with DRYP Studios and Rove Hotels, PEAK HEAT is a bold new concept that merges movement, altitude, and natural heat to create an unforgettable wellness journey.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of golden hour sunsets, it invites fitness enthusiasts to sweat it out – without air-conditioning, mirrors, or digital filters.

PEAK HEAT

Unlike conventional hot yoga sessions that rely on climate-controlled studios with temperatures ranging from 32°C to 40°C and around 40% humidity, PEAK HEAT takes its cue from nature. The mountain’s natural heat and altitude combine to challenge the body and sharpen mental focus.

Each session is timed perfectly at golden hour, capturing the cooler mountain air while maintaining the intensity required for hot fitness. Held at the Jebel Jais Viewing Deck, these classes offer a dramatic setting for those looking to push boundaries and embrace the elements.

Sessions will run once per month throughout the summer season:

  • Saturday 14th June: Hot Yoga Sculpt – combining yoga, strength training, and cardio using free weights
  • Saturday 5th July and Saturday 2nd August: Hot DRYP Tone – a full-body toning workout using bodyweight resistance

What’s included

Every PEAK HEAT session is designed to offer more than just a workout. Participants can expect:

  • Guided sunset workouts led by expert instructors from DRYP Studios
  • Chilled towels and cold refreshments for post-session recovery
  • A three-course dinner at 1484 by Puro, the UAE’s highest restaurant, with dishes like crispy falafel bites, poke bowls, seasonal fruits, chia coconut pudding and soft drinks
  • Overnight stay at the newly opened Rove Al Marjan Island, complete with a beachside breakfast
  • Air-conditioned transfers to and from Jebel Jais
  • Optional return shuttle service from Rove Downtown Dubai for a fully drive-free experience

Pricing and booking

Two package options are available:

  • Single Occupancy: Dh450
  • Double Occupancy: Dh700 (includes two class entries, dinner and breakfast for two, and one hotel room)

Bookings can be made via Visit Jebel Jais website. With limited slots and only three sessions planned, early reservation is strongly recommended.

A new wellness narrative

According to Alison Grinnell, CEO of RAK Hospitality Holding, PEAK HEAT is more than just a fitness trend. “It’s a bold new take on summer in the UAE – one that transforms the natural elements into something powerful, primal and deeply restorative,” she said. “It’s part of a wider vision to create immersive, unexpected experiences that celebrate Ras Al Khaimah’s unique landscape and push the boundaries of wellness and lifestyle travel.”

Jessica Casalegno, Managing Director of DRYP Studios, called the project “hot fitness in its purest form – stripped back, elevated, and deeply connected to nature.”

For Rove Hotels, the collaboration is in line with their philosophy of enabling authentic and adventurous experiences. “This partnership with Jebel Jais is about embracing the raw power of nature, challenging yourself, and uncovering a new side of the UAE,” said Hossam Shaaban, Hotel Manager of Rove Al Marjan Island. “That’s the Rove spirit – exploring without borders.”

Limited edition summer

Only one session will be held each month, making this a rare summer offering for fitness lovers. Whether going solo or with friends, participants can expect a shared journey of resilience, reconnection, and rediscovery.

From scenic mountain views to curated wellness experiences, PEAK HEAT invites residents and visitors alike to trade indoor comforts for nature’s powerful energy – offering a summer escape that’s anything but ordinary.
